Getting it home
Pick one. Prices include a big-SUV surcharge. The sum
Before you pay
- Run the VIN through a history check and ask a Land Rover dealer for open recalls.
- Get the car inspected locally by a Land Rover specialist, including a battery health printout on a plug-in.
- Pay by bank transfer to the seller named on the registration papers. Never cash.
- Get the invoice or contract, both parts of the registration certificate and the CoC.
- Book the truck or buy export plates and insurance before the car is released.
How this is calculated
- Road distance is the straight-line distance between cities × 1.3.
- Transport prices are formulas fitted to 112 real quotes collected in October 2026, with a 15–25% surcharge for a big SUV. A Range Rover Sport weighs 2.2–2.8 t, at or over the limit of a standard 3.5 t car trailer, so dedicated transport costs more.
- Slovak registration fee = power band × emission coefficient (0.20 for plug-in hybrids), as set by Act 145/1995 since July 2023. Originality check, STK/EK and plates add about €270.
- A used car bought by a private person inside the EU pays VAT in the seller's country only, as part of the asking price. Cars under 6 months old or with 6,000 km or less are 'new means of transport': VAT is then due in Slovakia.
